Product Description

The Fluoroplastic Pump is an ISO standard centrifugal pump with fluoroplastic alloy (F46) wetted construction for highly corrosive chemical service. Its non-metallic wetted path withstands strong acids, alkalis, and oxidizing agents that attack metallic pumps, while the centrifugal design delivers efficient flow from 1 to 50 m³/h at heads to 50 m and temperatures to 100°C. Suitable for acid transfer, chemical processing, and electroplating applications where corrosion resistance is critical.

Applications

  • Acid transfer in chemical plants
  • Electroplating industry
  • Fertilizer production
  • Water treatment chemicals
  • Metal pickling
  • Chlor-alkali plants

Quality Assurance

All Fluoroplastic Pumps are manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management system. Each pump undergoes rigorous testing including hydrostatic pressure test, performance test, NDT inspection, and dynamic balance verification before shipment. We provide comprehensive documentation including test reports, material certificates, and operation manuals.

Why Choose Our Chemical Centrifugal Pumps

Fluoroplastic Corrosion Resistance

PTFE/PFA fluoroplastic wetted parts handle strong acids, alkalis, and halogenated solvents that rapidly corrode stainless steel, with liner thickness 3-5 mm.

Centrifugal Performance

Centrifugal impeller design provides stable flow and head for chemical transfer and circulation, with performance curves matched to process requirements.

Back Pull-Out Maintenance

Rotating assembly removes without piping disconnection, with fluoroplastic lined impeller and casing cover for easy inspection and replacement.

Zero Metal Contamination

All wetted surfaces fully lined with fluoropolymer, ensuring no metal ion leaching for high-purity chemical and semiconductor manufacturing applications.

Key Features

ISO 2858 / EN 22858 standard dimensions
316L stainless steel wetted parts
Back pull-out design without removing piping
Single mechanical seal (upgrade to double available)
Optional fluoroplastic lining for strong acids
Duplex 2205 material option for chlorides

Frequently Asked Questions

What chemicals can fluoroplastic pumps handle?

Virtually all acids, bases, solvents, and oxidizing agents. PTFE/PFA is resistant to nearly all chemicals except molten alkali metals, fluorine gas, and some rare halogen compounds.

What is the temperature limit for fluoroplastic pumps?

PTFE: up to 150°C. PFA: up to 200°C. PVDF: up to 140°C. Exceeding these limits causes softening, creep, and potential lining failure.

Are fluoroplastic pumps suitable for high-pressure service?

Lined metal pumps can handle up to 16-25 bar depending on size. Fully plastic pumps are limited to 6-10 bar. For high pressure, use lined steel or alloy pumps.

How do I inspect fluoroplastic pump lining for damage?

Use spark testing (holiday detection) to find pinholes, visual inspection for blistering or cracking, and pressure testing. Lining damage often appears as blisters near nozzle connections.

Selection Guide

✅ When to Choose This Pump

  • General chemical transfer and circulation
  • Acids, alkalis, and solvents at moderate temperatures
  • ISO 2858 standard dimension interchangeability
  • Plants requiring easy maintenance and spare parts

⚠️ When NOT to Choose

  • Highly abrasive slurries (use slurry pump)
  • Zero-leakage requirements for toxic fluids (use magnetic drive)
  • High viscosity above 500 cP (use PD pump)
  • Self-priming needs (use self-priming pump)

💡 Common Selection Mistakes

  • Selecting wrong material for chloride-containing fluids
  • Not accounting for viscosity derating
  • Using standard seal for crystallizing fluids
  • Ignoring suction piping design for low NPSH
