Product Description

The Fluoroplastic Alloy Pump is an ISO standard centrifugal pump with fluoroplastic alloy (FRP) wetted components for aggressive chemical service. Its fiber-reinforced non-metallic construction provides structural strength with excellent corrosion resistance, delivering flow rates from 2 to 80 m³/h at heads to 60 m and temperatures to 100°C. The pump handles strong acids, bleaches, and corrosive solutions in chemical processing, pulp and paper, and water treatment applications.

Applications

  • Chemical acid transfer
  • Electroplating industry
  • Fertilizer production
  • Metal surface treatment
  • Water treatment
  • Chlor-alkali plants

Quality Assurance

All Fluoroplastic Alloy Pumps are manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management system. Each pump undergoes rigorous testing including hydrostatic pressure test, performance test, NDT inspection, and dynamic balance verification before shipment. We provide comprehensive documentation including test reports, material certificates, and operation manuals.

Why Choose Our Chemical Centrifugal Pumps

Fluoroplastic Alloy Construction

Alloy-reinforced fluoroplastic lining combines chemical resistance of PTFE/PFA with mechanical strength of metal backing, suitable for pressure up to 16 bar.

Wide Chemical Compatibility

Handles 98% of corrosive chemicals including HCl, H2SO4, HNO3, NaOH, chlorine, and halogenated solvents across full concentration range.

Low Life Cycle Cost

No expensive exotic alloys required, with fluoroplastic lining providing equivalent or better corrosion resistance at 40-60% lower cost than Hastelloy or titanium.

Proven in Chlor-Alkali

Widely used in chlor-alkali, sulfuric acid, and metal finishing plants with proven reliability in continuous corrosive service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a fluoroplastic alloy pump?

A pump that combines fluoroplastic lining (PTFE/PFA) with alloy metal structural components (stainless steel, duplex, Hastelloy) for both corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.

When should I choose fluoroplastic alloy vs. fully fluoroplastic?

Choose fluoroplastic alloy for higher pressure, higher temperature, or larger size applications where all-plastic construction lacks mechanical strength. Fully plastic is for low-pressure, small-size duty.

What alloys are used in fluoroplastic alloy pumps?

316L stainless steel, duplex stainless, Alloy 20, and Hastelloy C. The alloy provides structural strength while the fluoroplastic lining provides corrosion resistance.

Can the fluoroplastic lining be repaired in the field?

Minor damage can be repaired with PFA welding or epoxy patches, but factory relining is recommended for significant damage. Keep spare wetted parts for critical applications.

Selection Guide

✅ When to Choose This Pump

  • General chemical transfer and circulation
  • Acids, alkalis, and solvents at moderate temperatures
  • ISO 2858 standard dimension interchangeability
  • Plants requiring easy maintenance and spare parts

⚠️ When NOT to Choose

  • Highly abrasive slurries (use slurry pump)
  • Zero-leakage requirements for toxic fluids (use magnetic drive)
  • High viscosity above 500 cP (use PD pump)
  • Self-priming needs (use self-priming pump)

💡 Common Selection Mistakes

  • Selecting wrong material for chloride-containing fluids
  • Not accounting for viscosity derating
  • Using standard seal for crystallizing fluids
  • Ignoring suction piping design for low NPSH
